The
central characters in the Daisies:
The Sonshine Club curriculum are
three girls--Darcy, Diana, and Dorie--and
their sponsor, Miss Jennifer. These
characters are used in the lesson
stories as life application references
and can be used to help tell stories
and review the lessons learned.
The
Daisies Club is a 1-year program
for kindergarten girls. The curriculum
is unit based; therefore, it is
extremely visitor friendly. Each
unit has four lessons and can be
completed in 1 month. Your girl
will need to complete 9 units during
her time in Daisies Club.
When
your daughter brings home a Daisies
emblem badge she has memorized the
Daisies Club distinctives (pledge,
motto, colors, Scripture verse,
and song). After completing a unit,
she will earn a colorful badge to
wear on her sash. To earn a unit
badge, she must complete the age-appropriate
unit activity pages, memorize the
unit memory verse, and complete
one craft from the unit.
After
completing 9 units, she will be
eligible to wear the Honor Daisy
Pin and will be considered an Honor
Daisy.
Uniforms
Daisies wear a navy jumper with
a white shirt as the official uniform.
A matching navy sash displays the
Missionettes and club emblem badges.
The achievement badges are placed
on the sash from left to right,
top to bottom, as they are earned.
Ask your Missionettes coordinator
for a copy of the reproducible badge
placement page or visit the Missionettes
Web site at missionettes.ag.org
to view the badge placement instructions.
Daisies may also wear the Daisies
T-shirt with or without the sash
as the official casual uniform.
