Stars
Club is a 3-year program for girls
in third through fifth-grade. The
curriculum is unit based. Each unit
has four lessons and can be completed
in 1 month. Girls should complete
requirements for 27 units (9 per
year)--complete the unit activity
pages, a corresponding unit project,
and memorize the unit memory verse--during
their time in Stars Club. After
completing a unit, she will earn
a colorful unit badge to wear on
her sash.
S-T-A-R
Step Badges
Girls in Stars Club can achieve
four Step badges: Susanna—Service,
Tabitha—Testimony, Anna—Attitude,
Ruth—Relationships. A girl
earns her S step badge after she
has read pages 1-16 of her Stars
Club Activity Book and has
memorized the Stars Club distinctives,
the Missionettes Code, and the pledges
to the Bible and flags. Each time
a girl earns 9 unit badges she will
earn another step badge—first
T, then A, and finally R.
Becoming
an Honor Star
Girls who wish to become Honor Stars
should complete the requirements
for 27 units plus the 9 Honor Steps
for the World of Truth units and
read the entire New Testament. Girls
who complete an Honor Step will
earn a gold star pin to place on
the corresponding unit badge.
The
final requirement to become an Honor
Star is completion of the comprehensive
Honor Star Review—a fill-in-the-blank
test over the 27 memory verses of
the units completed.
Graduation
Levels
Every girl should be promoted from
Stars Club at the end of her fifth-grade
year. There are five Stars Graduation
levels: Susanna Star, Tabitha Star,
Anna Star, Ruth Star, Honor Star.
Please ask your Missionettes State
sponsor to see the requirements
for these levels.
Uniforms
Stars were a navy jumper with a
white shirt as the official uniform.
A matching navy sash displays the
Missionettes and club emblem badges.
The achievement badges are placed
on the sash from left to right,
bottom to top, as they are earned.
Ask your Missionettes coordinator
for a copy of the reproducible badge
placement page or visit the Missionettes
Web site at missionettes.ag.org
to view the badge placement instructions.
Stars may also wear the Stars T-shirt
with or without the sash as the
official casual uniform.
